Our Mission
Our mission is to connect people to God and to the church community, that together we may fulfill our purpose in God!
The United Disciples of Jesus Christ is a church whose vision is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our Beliefs
God
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
Word of God
We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. Chosen men of God spoke and wrote it as they were moved on by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21) We are to submit under the authority of Gods word, it is the foundation for everything we believe.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to save us from sin because it separated us from God. Now by God’s Grace and our faith in His Death, burial and resurrection, we can be reunited with God!
Baptism
We express our faith in Jesus Christ by obeying His command to be baptized in His Name. Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.
Holy Spirit
God promised to send His Holy Spirit into our lives to Comfort us, teach us, convict us, empower us to be His witnesses and Lead us to all truth. As it was in acts 10:44-46, Speaking in tongues is Gods initial sign of His indwelling spirit in our lives.
Manifestations and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
